Welcome to April! And here I am, posting about February. I have a lot of catching up to do. I thought about combining a few posts and giving you a quick overview of the last couple months but that defeats the purpose of the blog: holding ourselves accountable and inspire others!
A quick recap of our lives… we were stationed in Colorado Springs, I went to training at the end of last year, then we moved to Italy. For the last couple months we have been working on getting settled.
We finally moved into our place at the beginning of March! Of course there are still some boxes to unpack, but we finally feel settled… enough anyway. We are still waiting on furniture to arrive and still anxiously looking for a few things to make it feel more like “home” (of course within budget). In due time though. Patience, I guess.
I have also been slowly working on updating my page. I haven’t been able to dedicate as much time as I would like due to every free moment spent working on unpacking.
Lastly, we have been traveling! Again, within budget. We try to take one trip a month. In January we went to Innsbruck, Austria. In February we went to London (which was ridiculously expensive). In March, Cory treated me to a relaxing spa weekend in Treviso, Italy for my birthday! We are looking forward to going to Germany in April to see some family!
Alright, now that we are all caught up; time to see how we have been doing financially amidst the hectic-ness of moving into our home and getting settled.
How much debt were we able to pay off in February…?
Here is a look at where we were standing in February.
We have been so fortunate to have started off 2016 with a bang. Unfortunately, starting in April, our debt payoff will be slowing down.
Our income in January, February and March has been far from normal. As I have mentioned before, military members can make good money off of a PCS (especially overseas) if they budget and be smart about it! Our income should have evened out and should be normal in April.
February’s payment officially put us below the 6 figures mark! Only 5 figures to go.
How has your 2016 been treating you so far?
